Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer experience in Israel like no other? Masa Israel Volunteers offers you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of others while immersing yourself in the beauty and culture of Israel. After the events of October 7th, volunteering has never been more crucial, and your involvement can truly make a difference. With a new volunteer project every two weeks, our 4-week volunteer program allows you to broaden your impact within the most vulnerable groups of Israeli society.
Highlights of Volunteering
Our unique and dynamic program allows for various volunteering opportunities. Volunteer and interact with our soldiers on an Israeli army base, get your hands dirty and contribute to Israel’s agricultural sector by participating in farming activities alongside local farmers, and spend time in the North rebuilding communities that were damaged by the war.
Stand in solidarity with the people of Israel during challenging times and contribute to the country's resilience and strength. Your four-week commitment will have a lasting impact on the lives of soldiers, communities, and individuals in need.
Participants live in furnished apartments in Tel Aviv and on the Livnot U’Lehibanot campus in Tzfat. Lunch is provided at the army base and two meals perday is provided while up North. We supply basic health insurance for non-pre-existing conditions.
Connect to your heritage through community service, hiking, learning, and spiritual exploration. Build a meaningful connection to Judaism, Israel, and yourselves — while also contributing to the physical and social rebuilding of the land and its communities.
Volunteering participants have access to many unique benefits that promote building a connection to Israel as well as growing their community. Tours will take you to the new destinations around Israel and locally organized social activities will connect you to Israeli society.

While our participants have some free time within the week, all programming and volunteering is mandatory.
These programs are generously subsidized by the Masa grant (if you are eligible). Without the grant, the cost of the 4-week programs is $2800 USD and the 6-week programs is $4300 USD. With the grant, the 4-week sessions cost $150 USD and the 6-week sessions cost $350 USD.
You should also expect to pay for your own food expenses as well as your flights.
While there may be some meals which we provide, all participants must expect to pay for their own food while on the program.
Our programs are Shabbat friendly, which means individuals are able to observe Shabbat as they see fit. However, please expect that you may have roommates who do not keep shabbat.
We provide additional kitchen equipment for those who keep kosher.
We ask that everyone be mindful and considerate of each other’s practices.
We provide fully furnished, shared accommodations for our participants. You can expect to share a room with a maximum of 2 other people.
