Masa Tlalim is partnering with Magen David Adom to open a volunteer opportunity for those who wish to gain valuable hands-on experience in emergency situations and collaborate with Israeli counterparts. During the program, participants will complete an 10-day first responders’ course prior to volunteering on an ambulance.
This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide critical care when every second counts. By participating in this program, you will make a tangible impact on the lives of others while immersing yourself in the beauty and culture of Israel. After the events of October 7th, volunteering has never been more crucial, and your involvement can truly make a difference.
Volunteering in Israel after October 7th holds immense importance. It's a chance to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel during challenging times and contribute to the country's resilience and strength. Your four-week commitment will have a lasting impact on the lives of soldiers, communities, and individuals in need.
Learn from experienced professionals and expert instructors who are dedicated to your success. Gain practical experience through hands-on training sessions, simulations, and real-life scenarios on ambulances. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive certification as a first responder.
Participants live in furnished apartments in Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem. In addition, an unlimited monthly bus pass and basic health insurance for non-pre-existing conditions are provided.
Volunteering participants have access to many unique benefits that promote building a connection to Israel as well as growing their community. Engage with your peers from all the world, tour new destinations around Israel and locally organized social activities will connect you to Israeli society.
“Whoever saves a life, is as if he had saved a whole world.”
Since being founded 87 years ago, Magen David Adom has been working tirelessly to provide medical care, treat the injured, and help those in need by providing life-saving assistance. Mada has various responsibilities beyond first-response aid, offering opportunities for professional training of future caregivers, and organizing blood-donations. Starting originally with only one ambulance, today Mada has grown into one of the largest Emergency Medical Services and has 143 stations country wide.
